GAMES OF SILENCE

Those furtive glances,
The darting eyes
And pursed lips
The twitch
At the corner of your mouth
The wrinkle on your nose
The subtle frown
Oh! they spoke volumes,

What was it that ate at you
You half rose
Then sat back,
Twiddling you thumbs
Loh! You were fast
The sweeping glances
The tense shudders
Ah! Let it out now

Your fingers intertwined
You teeth clenched tight
Your thighs pressed closed
Your shoulder grew hunched
Your head bow
Your chest sunk low
Your body slumped.
Alas! That is all you had to say

perfect

I took to the tapestry,
her image embraced mentally,
the form of perfect symmetry
the luscious greenery,
creating the perfect scenery.

Her aura was well nurtured.
Her beauty gave world stature.
Her spirit in-sync with nature.
Her manner tamely cultured.

She was the cure to my depression
her halo lighting up the earth
her angelic presence oozed hope,
a gift from the God's

If I could

by Davy Vivaldi on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 10:14pm ·

If I could
Turn back the hands of time
Erase all the hurt
I put you through
And fill your heart with
Joy and happiness.

If I could
Turn back the hands of time
Wipe away all the tears
That you shed
Make sure you held up your head
Give you a reason to smile

If I could
Turn back the hands of time
Do everything right
Make everything better
I would do all that was possible
Just for you

Heaven and a Sin

by Kennan Obura on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 9:54pm ·

I have always preached my lungs out
the kind of oxygen you wud live breathing,

Infiltrated bible verses through words of mouth
that wud make metaphors & smiles kiss deeply in defining the  beauty

Taken out my white robe to cover your whole cold
only revealing that part of your body that defines goose bumps as still sexy,

Made you an after Sunday service holly divine
that I robed out from Agatha parishioners

Sorry maiden
But am hurt you didn’t get even a lil drunk to tease my soul ,
least I'd go to hell on a genuine sin

You never danced your ego out till fatigue
so I'd catch you and let you share portion of my filth

you just stayed a hour of breaking chances & moments
that i thought wud be right for a martin

I just love the fact that you and me
are two religion hanging on a string

dont  seem too much happy with bliss
lest you weigh more to fall and leave me hanging not to trace heaven

Longing

by Pathogen Ambadra on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 1:02am ·

This feeling of longing
Like something great is missing
A presence living in memories
Refused to shrivel even with escalating distance

Every turn so reminiscent
Nostalgic the very undying scent
Yet withering not is the desire
Only filling the loss with ire
For an err so undeserving
And a mind so undiscerning
This path trodden for finding self
Expending all avenues of help
Yet non seems appropriate
Knees and pleas exhausted to expiate
But the state gravitates
A heart mutilated and in pain
The longing hard to fade
Eyes growing darker with shade
Shadows growing sharper and darker
No more hallucination the visage sharper

TAKING A STAND

Morning regret,
I am glad you could make it so soon
Do tell me, have the times been good?
On this end, they seem to be smooth
Take a seat, I hope you’re not alone
The other are meant to come along

Ah! Welcome revenge
You were rather late today
Your coffee went cold
Another I will have to brew
Despair will arrive in a few
I know the time is yet past due

You are both aware
Your services are now moot
My skeletons had to get the boot
I have your dismissal letter
And your bags are by the door
As you leave, with the wind do go
And never come back
Or else you hit the floor

Despair and disappointment
Pity you can’t keep an appointment
They will inform you on the arrangement
Do pick you letters of disengagement
Fair thee well
May you have no more conquest
You knew this day would come
Now I take my stand.
